Homework Helpers in Sterling, VA
US Mission
 In October the team from Open Arms and Sterling Park Baptist Church began our third year of Homework Helpers at a local Sterling elementary school. This year we have a record number of children and volunteers. This little elementary school serves a community with a large immigrant population where many of the children don’t speak English in the home. These kids need all the help they can get as they try to integrate into their new country and each of our volunteers has been blessed beyond measure by just spending time with these exceptional young people. “He ensures that orphans and widows receive justice. He shows love to the foreigners living among you and gives them food and clothing. So you, too, must show love to foreigners, for you yourselves were once foreigners in the land of Egypt.” Deuteronomy 10:18-19
