“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.”
Psalms 150:6
From January 10th to 15th, we hosted the 15th annual Kids Camp in Assis, Brazil, a vibrant week centered around the theme “The Fruit of the Spirit.” This camp marked the beginning of a year-long focus for the children across all our mission outposts in Brazil, where they will delve deeper into the character of Christ, learn how God can nurture that character in them, and discover how it can transform their world.
Volunteer teams from Brazil, Florida, and Virginia joined 350 children at a rural farm in central Brazil for a week filled with worship, games, crafts, Bible teaching, small group discussions, powerful testimonies, and plenty of delicious food. Throughout the week, the name of Jesus was lifted high. Many children made their first profession of faith, while many others took significant steps closer to God in their walk with Jesus.
Camp serves as both the culmination of a year’s worth of discipleship in the lives of these children and a powerful launch into the year ahead. And none of this would be possible without your faithful support. Through your generosity, we’re able to bring hope to the hopeless, break the cycle of spiritual and physical poverty, and welcome children in the name of Jesus—shining light into a world that often feels dark.
Thank you to those who partnered with Jesus and Open Arms Worldwide in being that light.
